With its bargain-basement price, the Aspire One looks like a steal–until you realize you need the six-cell Acer aspire one battery. The sizes and prices of models in the mini-notebooks category continue to escalate, but the Aspire One comes in at just $349. That’s less than the next-lowest-priced XP-based model, the Lenovo IdeaPad S10. Acer’s well-constructed, elegant entry measures 9.8 by 6.7 by 1.1 inches, roughly the same size as the IdeaPad S10. It’s significantly lighter than the S10, though, at 2.3 pounds versus 3.6 pounds.

The Windows-based Aspire One did easily outpace HP 2133 that Via C-7M CPU led it to an anemic 26; but it fell well short of the Lenovo S10′s surprising 41.

Even worse, the Aspire One’s three-cell battery lasted for just 2 hours, 16 minutes. A 6-cell acer aspire battery costs an extra $100, which negates the Aspire One’s price advantage.

Despite these shortcomings, the Aspire One is a fine little machine. If you need a 6-cell battery, a replacement aspire one battery may be a better choice. But Acer’s Aspire One is one of the best category bargains around. Just stay near a power outlet or invest in the extra six-cell battery.

How to remove the memory module, LCD screen and removing the inverter board from a HP Pavilion dv6000 laptop?

In my eyes, the HP Pavilion DV6000 is proof that PCs are affordable as hell today. These specs compare quite favorably to my desktop, all in a sub $800 notebook.In this article I’ll be removing and replacing the LCD screen and removing the inverter board and memory module from a HP Pavilion dv6000 laptop.
In order to remove the memory module, spread latches on both sides from the memory module. The memory card will pop up at a 20-30 degree angle. Carefully pull the memory module from the slot by the edges. Remove both modules.
There are two wires connected to the wireless card (Wi-Fi card). These wires are antennas. In order to disconnect the antenna cable from the card, grab the gold connector with our finger tips and unsnap it from the card.Remove two screws securing the wireless card. Pull the wireless card from the slot.
Step one. Remove rubber screw covers
There are six rubber screw covers on the LCD screen bezel. You’ll have to remove all covers.We can remove covers with a sharp object.
STEP two. Remove six screws found under the rubber covers.
STEP Three.
Insert fingers between the screen bezel and display cover and start separating them. And then removing the bezel. Be careful, the bezel made of fragile plastic.
STEP four.
Now you can get an access to the screen inverter which is mounted below the screen.Remove one screw securing the inverter board. Disconnect cables on both sides of the inverter board.The inverter board has been removed.
STEP 5.
Remove two screws securing each display hinge/bracket.
STEP 6.
Now you can get an access to the back side of the LCD screen. Remove clear tape covering the connector and disconnect the screen cable from the LCD screen. Simply unplug the cable from the connector.

STEP 7.
Remove two screws from each side of the screen. These screws securing the display hinges/brackets to the screen.

STEP 8.
Now we can remove the defective LCD screen and replace it with a new one. We can find a new LCD screen for HP Pavilion dv6000 laptop here for less than $80.The LCD screen has been removed.The following part numbers for HP Pavilion dv6000 series laptops could be helpful to you. I found them in the official maintenance and service guide.

The HP Mini 1000 laptop is a good choice for doing word processing and any other tasks you may need to do on the road. It has 1GB DDR2 RAM, a 60GB Hard Drive, and a 3 Cell Lithium battery.
After having the HP Mini 1000 reviewed it was time to see how to upgrade this compact and very sleek netbook.
HP for one makes it really easy to get to the RAM. Forget your screwdriver, the HP has a plastic door covering its RAM which can easily be popped off (especially if you have long nails). We upgraded our 1GB of RAM to 2GB DDR2 stick and then just snapped the plastic cover back on. When we booted the system the Windows XP Home operating system recognized 1.99GB of RAM automatically.
Getting to the hard drive on the system isn’t as easy. There is no place to unscrew a panel to see the hard drive or other components. That isn’t to say that some enterprising hardware modder like JKK Mobile won’t be able to figure out a way to a way to get to the hard drive and sub in a super fast SSD, but so far we haven’t been able to.
Considering that HP has revealed its plans to make the Mini 1000 mobile broadband capable, we combed the system looking for a SIM card slot and found one burried underneath the battery. We were able to slip a AT&T 3G SIM into the slot. However, we assume the system lacks the internal antenna to support the capablitiy as of now.
We replaced this original 3 Cell Lithium battery with a 6 cell replacement hp mini 1000 battery, to purchase a replacement hp mini 1000 battery, there are great of online shops selling this kind of laptop battery.

One of my friend need a notebook for working. He don’t play game, just for working. He would like to purchase a notebook around $550. He took a fancy to this HP 540 Laptop. The below is feature of hp 540.

It seems good. I search some reviews which are wrote by the guys who has had this hp 540 for a few days. Hope it can help you.
It’s OK. But the only trouble is to install the OS. It’s easy to extend the RAM. No microphone. It seems that there is only one loudspeaker and no dimensional sound.
I purchased one FS302AA, some guys recommended it to me. It’s not bad, never out of work!
I have had this notebook for nearly half a year, the feature which is the best satisfy me is the charge time of hp 540 battery is short. It will charge 90% after 90 minutes.
